Chocolate Granola

As the new year has started, we are on a mission to share more insanely delicious recipes with you! To kick off the first recipe of the year on the blog, we have our CHOCOLATE GRANOLA ! It’s super easy to make & with all the staple ingredients you already have in your pantry!

The base of this granola recipe are oat flakes - the most inexpensive YET incredible nourishing ingredient we love to cook with. Here is the recipe for you to try it out:

300g oat flakes

250g dates

200g peanut butter

10g linseed / chia seeds

25g cacao

75ml coconut oil (melted)

100g raw cashew nuts

  1. Start off by pouring hot water over your dates to soften them. Let them soak for 5 minutes and drain the water. Make sure that you have removed all the pips from inside.

  2. In a blender add the dates, coconut oil and peanut butter and pulse. ( set aside )

  3. In another bowl place the rest of the DRY ingredients and mix well

  4. Add into the dry ingredients bowl, the mixture from the blender and mix well until all the wet components have incorporated into the dry.

  5. Place onto a lined baking tray and bake for 25 mins at 180 degree.

You can store the granola in an airtight container for up to 1 month! You can add the granola to your favorite yogurt and also over some warm milk to make chocolate porridge.
